Good Death

A fact which is indivisible in a person's life is death so it is important for each one to lead a good life and sense of completion of all duties and responsibilities in an individual's life. A good death can be a relatively pain free death with dignity.

Most of us will be aware of the proverb "Nothing is certain in this world except death", so death is something which each one of us has to go through in life.

A good death should not occur because of some Violence, accident and a fearsome disease. A good death can also be defined as completion of a person's life with a meaningful ending which should be assessed with their life finding solutions for disputes, finding time with friends and family and of course finally the time to say goodbye.

As a person gets closer and closer to the door of death he or she realizes what can bring a good death and finally in the course of search it is found that personal affinity should be more valued than financial additions. A good death can never be defined without the framework of spiritualism. The value of life will be known only at the time of death.

A good death is contributed by factors like perfection or fulfillment of relationship, reestablishing of cordial relations with problems of the past and attaining religious tranquillity.All this takes place only with time and intent. So as we hope for a better life we should also get ready for a good death.

There are also theories which say there is no single formulae for good death.Inspite of many researches made on this topic there is very little bit of understanding of what matters a good death. It is not a surprise to know that most of the people will like end their lives with absence of difficulty or effort of body, mind and soul.

The apprehension of death though has gradually taken a change in the course of history but still continue to have connected series of stories of the past. Death is not something which happens suddenly but it is a consequence of stages of living and the final product is death. So death can be defined as a dying process. But this apparent differentiation is not maintained in its original or existing form for it keeps changing.

Good death from different perception takes sides like sometimes considered as a dying process or as an occurrence of death which is the conclusion of the dying process or a condition of dignified dying. Thus people aspect of good death keeps changing its focus from one point to another. Just say a person meet with a sudden accident and dies. What can be considered in this case; can we call it as a bad death or a good death.

It can be considered as bad death for the person's life of energy was put an end. But in other case one can also term it as good death because he died in a fraction of second with no prolonged period of pain.

So according to above said fact the death is sudden and so it is bad but the process of dying is good for it is gracious. None of us can conclude if the person died and happy in the heaven or if he still dwells. So the factors like death as process, event, and status are to be taken into consideration for the discussion of disagreement or argument.

Say for example the mercy killing method which very rarely followed to reduce the pain of suffering in the process of death. Whereas in the other way some dying people stop themselves from taking away their life by committing suicide for they consider it to be a sin.

They also believe that committing of this sin will lead to punishment of the spirit in the kingdom of heaven from where they will be sent to the hell. So again the question arises of how and who decides whether the death is good or bad and of course the answer keeps varying as perception keeps differing.

This is a debatable topic among Philosophers whether a death can be good or bad where most of them say it is bad for the reason that it takes away the possibility and time to enjoy the whole life. The concept of whole life takes a different definition with each person as of how long and how is it lived.

There are lot of principles about what a good death is which is been followed by different tradition and religion where most of them are compatible with each other. The Christianity religion says that we die the way we live.

They also say that death is something which should not be afraid of nor to be supportive to it. Christians who believe in the death of Jesus Christ and then later his resurrection to perpetual and undying life also consider their life to take up the same principle. So once according to them death has happened then they are said to lead an eternal life in relationship with God in the heaven.

A progressive planning of the life is very much required in a person for a good death. Compatible or in agreement with faith is an important criterion for death and for which some amount of self control and personal independence is extremely important. A good death can not only be defined as a finished affinity but it should also be reestablished cordial relations with whom we are broken.

Christianity religion values four points which has to be said at the time if death, and they are I love you, thank you, I forgive you, and forgive me. We may not have used these terms during our operative life time but at the time of death these four points is believed to bring good death.

When we get detached from worldly things and holding ourselves more to immortality once again we ensure that death is going to be good to us for the heavenly God is with us. There are number of phrases in the Bible which says that one is getting ready to achieve a good death the day he is out of the materialistic world and starting his journey towards the Lord.

Good death is also said to be witnessed by those souls which are made more meaningful by facing lot of difficulties towards the end of life. By undergoing sufferings we get much closer to God.

Christianity believes in difficulties because at the time of death just like Christ who was crucified before he left this materialistic world and entered the world of immortal eternity.

Thus Prophet the diviner says by this way we share the suffering of God and when we suffer the Almighty is there to help us. Holding back one's life by treating the person is also to be considered so as to when it has to be done for it is another main factor which will lead to good death.

Nobody is given the right to take away one's life because we all know that our bodies are the temples of the Holy Soul. So there is no right for mercy killing or suicide. A person's life can be prolonged by life sustaining treatment in case of illness once we know by saving him; he will in turn be able to serve others.

The separation of the dying people should be differentiated into groups based on their attributes and characteristics and this is supposed to be very practical for the case of ending a person's life for good death.

A tranquil death is said to be good for according to the Christian religion we are aware that we get to resurrection and then lead a valid perpetual life with God.

The Christianity religion believes death is the beginning of a new life of a child with the God. All the above discussed factors are extremely important for a good death. But all these factors lose its importance once the person dying ardor an uncontrollable emotion with God and his honour.
